Brisbane-based four piece The Jungle Giants are making a whirlwind trip across the Tasman for a one-off Auckland show – their first-ever on Kiwi soil.
Hot on the heels of their recent appearance on Australia’s favourite regional touring festival, Groovin’ The Moo, the indie rockers will play REC on Friday September 15. The show follows the success of latest singles ‘Feel The Way I Do’ and ‘On Your Way Down’.
Supporting The Jungle Giants is Auckland indie-pop band, Young Lyre. A hard-working five-piece, Young Lyre have built a reputation for their exciting live performance and are looking forward to playing their hit singles ‘Winter’, ‘Night Swimming’ and more at REC this September.

Press Release:
A catchy as hell anthem that’s being blasted on Triple J, ‘On Your Way Down’ shines a light on The Jungle Giants’ ability to combine simple arrangements with melodic intensity. “Not like a bashing your head way,” says the band’s frontman Sam Hales. “More like a rumbly building intensity. It makes you want to dance, but also clench your fists.”
Meanwhile, ‘Feel The Way I Do’, which has also been lighting up the airwaves on Triple J, is about to break two million streams on Spotify.
The Jungle Giants’ Auckland show coincides with the highly-anticipated release of their third album QUIET FEROCITY on July 7. Recorded at Empire Studios in Brisbane, the 10-track record showcases a seamless creative pairing of songwriting and diverse production methods. It marks a key stylistic and musical evolution for the band, creating a genre-bending universe that’s entirely their own.
Racking up more than 30 million Spotify streams, The Jungle Giants have played sold-out headline dates and appeared at all major Australian festivals. They have also played shows in LA, New York, Toronto, Austin, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta.
Now Kiwi fans, and guaranteed soon-to-be fans, will get the chance to see for themselves what all the hype is about. Don’t miss one of Australia’s most exciting indie acts live in action in New Zealand for the first time.
