In celebration of their first album in four years, The Bads, of course, must do what they love most; play some shows! No strangers to the stage, The Bads have played with the likes of Green Day, Oasis and Radiohead as well as Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, Joan Armatrading, The Jayhawks and Rodrgio Y Gabriela!
The Bads’ touring band holds a mighty punch of talent and experience featuring core members; Dianne Swann (Tim Finn, Dave McArtney, Flip Grater & more) and Brett Adams (Tim Finn, Tami Neilson, Rodriguez, Mockers, Gin Wigmore, Jan Hellriegel, Exponents). Also on the tour bus will be frequent live collaborators; Wayne Bell on drums, who has played with a huge list of people including Dave Dobbyn, Bic Runga, Greg Johnson, Gin Wigmore and Jan Hellriegel. Accompanying them will be the inimitable Dave Khan, a multi-instrumentalist who has played with Don McGlashan, Marlon Williams, and Tami Neilson amongst many others. New to The Bads’ touring troupe is Ben King on bass and golden vocals from bands; Grand Rapids, Narentines and Goldenhorse.

In celebration of the tour announcement also comes the video release of the spookily sci-fi fantasy music video for the first single, Shelter Love, that is currently taunting radio playlists around the country (and can be viewed below).
Directed and produced by local video maker, John Pain, known locally for his art design creative with bands Hallelujah Picassos, Bressa Creeting Cake, Dam Native and the infamous 95bFM logo.
Shelter Love is a taunting creeping number highlighted with Dianne Swann’s haunting and uplifting vocals in combo with long time partner Brett Adams magic guitar playing & their combined song craft, make for a great tease as to what else will come on their much anticipated next album, ‘Losing Heroes’.
Written across the summer of 2016, and recorded throughout the winter months with Ben Edwards at Sitting Room Studios in Lyttelton, Losing Heroes will be independently released on July 7th with LP and CD distribution via Rhythmethod as well as being available via the usual digital services.
