After the sell-out success of their April/May shows New Zealand’s well-loved national treasures are hitting the road in October bringing their original style of merriment, mayhem and mirth to seven more small towns. The country’s hills will be alive with the sound of laughter!
Armed with guitar, mouth-harp and spoons NZ’s favourite twin sisters change musical style and gender with ease, delivering original country music, character comedy, burlesque innuendo, audience participation and some of the finest yodeling you’ll hear anywhere. The Topps’ infamous alter-egos will delight all ages with a memorable up-close and personal evening of fun and fine singing.
Expect the unexpected, and don’t miss a great night of hilarious entertainment guaranteed to have you laughing or crying with “sheer joy” (the Financial Times, London).
Lynda and Jools are also bringing their wildly successful kids books and songs to the stage in a new special live family show in Auckland for three shows only. New Zealand’s favourite entertainers will deliver a one hour memorable classic Kiwiana family show with a farmyard theme.
The show is based on The Topp Twins Scholastic range of books that have been best sellers since first being published in 2011. Audience participation is a guarantee and the show will include all their kids songs ‘There’s A Hole In My Bucket’, ‘Do Your Ears Hang Low’, ‘She’ll Be Coming Round The Mountain’, ‘Farmer In The Dell’ and ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’.
Their sixth book ‘Old MacDonald Had A Farm’ goes on sale this October in all good NZ booksellers.
Scholastic New Zealand “couldn’t be happier that the energetic and fun-loving Topp Twins are performing a Kids Show during the October school holidays. The response to the books has been incredible. It seems that preschoolers, schoolies and anyone young at heart is unable to resist singing and toe-tappin’ along with the incomparable Topp Twins.”
All six books will be available to purchase at the door and The Topp Twins will hold special book signings after each show for ticket holders.
